What we collect, why we need it, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to the Quiet Turn website and to information Michael E. Gruen receives when you book or discuss an advisory engagement. It covers the newsletter forms and the optional AI•DOOM Assessment readout even where those flows are not yet connected to a delivery service.

The newsletter forms currently display a front-end preview and do not submit an address to a mailing-list provider. In browser-only mode, the AI•DOOM Assessment calculates all three facet scores in the browser and keeps the broad profile, inventories, answers, and result in this browser’s local storage; it does not deliver an email. The enhanced server-backed assessment and readout flow is conditional on the required human-owned configuration. If enabled, normalized broad cohort fields, the three facet scores, the twelve dimension scores with their evidence labels, and the resulting pattern may be retained without email. Aggregate benchmark jobs read the facet and dimension scores plus the broad profile bands that make cohort slices possible; inventories, raw answers, and email are excluded. Raw answers are retained only under the requested-readout or API rules. OpenClaw is not an active processor for this site.

• Booking details — the name, email address, date, time, and notes you choose to provide when scheduling through Cal.com.
• Correspondence — the content of messages you send, including through LinkedIn, and the information needed to respond.
• Engagement information — minimum-necessary, non-sensitive context, notes, and materials you voluntarily share for a coaching or advisory engagement.
• AI•DOOM Assessment profile, inventory, checklist and scenario answers, and scores — the profile uses broad role, organization type, employee-size, and order-of-magnitude revenue bands; the two-week tool inventory and the two 30-day checklists use stable descriptive categories. Other text is optional and limited to 120 characters. In browser-only mode, this data remains in local storage until you clear site data or retake. In the server-backed flow, a short-lived session may hold it for up to one hour after the last activity. On completion, the three facet scores, the twelve dimension scores with their evidence labels, the resulting pattern, and the broad profile bands may be retained without email; raw answers are retained only under the requested-readout or API rules. Benchmark records exclude inventories, raw answers, and email.
• Email for an optional readout — only if you enter an address and explicitly check the readout consent box. In the current browser-only mode, the address is validated in the browser and delivery is unavailable; it is not submitted by that flow.
• Newsletter email — the current newsletter preview does not transmit or store an address. If a newsletter platform is enabled in the future, submitting your address will be voluntary and will be covered by the conditional processor and retention terms below.

We do not ask for payment-card numbers. Cal.com and Stripe handle payment information on their own systems when a booking requires payment. Please do not send passwords, production credentials, regulated records, or sensitive personal information; share sanitized examples and only what the work requires.

• To schedule, confirm, and administer a conversation or engagement.
• To communicate with you about work you request and provide the agreed advisory service.
• To answer questions, handle access or deletion requests, and keep a limited record of the relationship where needed.
• To calculate an anonymized aggregate benchmark and cohort comparisons from completed AI•DOOM Assessment scores and broad profile bands; no email is required for this use. Before enough real responses exist, cohorts also include synthetic seed respondents: modeled response profiles representative of people in each role, stored with the source “seed”, counted separately, and disclosed in the report wherever they appear.
• Only if you explicitly request it, to produce and deliver an AI•DOOM Assessment readout.
• Only if a newsletter flow is activated and you voluntarily subscribe, to send the essays or updates described at sign-up.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We do not use an email address submitted for an optional readout as automatic permission for a newsletter or other marketing.

You can start the AI•DOOM Assessment and view its browser result without giving us an email address. The readout is a separate choice: the address field and the “Email me this readout” checkbox are both required before an enabled server flow can send it. Newsletter sign-up is also a separate, voluntary choice.

If a newsletter or readout email is ever sent, every optional marketing message will include an unsubscribe path. You can also ask us to stop optional email at any time through the LinkedIn page. Stopping optional email does not necessarily stop service messages needed for a booking or an active engagement.

We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose described here, to support an engagement you asked for, or to meet a legal or contractual record-keeping duty. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or remove identifying details.

• Browser-only AI•DOOM Assessment — your browser may retain broad profile fields, descriptive inventories, answers, and all three facet scores in local storage until you clear site data or choose to retake. We cannot remotely erase data that never left your browser.
• Server-backed AI•DOOM Assessment, if enabled — in-progress sessions are intended to expire after up to one hour without activity. Completed normalized cohort fields, the three facet scores, the twelve dimension scores with their evidence labels, and the resulting pattern may be retained without email. Aggregate benchmarks are published only after at least ten completed assessments overall, and a role, size, or organization-type cohort is shown only once it has at least thirty; they read facet and dimension scores together with the broad profile bands and nothing else. A requested readout may additionally retain raw answers, and contact data needed to deliver and support that request.
• Future newsletter, if enabled — an address would be retained only while you remain subscribed or as needed to honor an unsubscribe request. A minimal suppression record may be kept so that we do not add you back without a new request.
• Booking and engagement records — retained only as long as needed to deliver the work and for reasonable record-keeping afterward, subject to any legal or contractual duty.

To request access, correction, deletion, or removal from an optional email list, contact us through the LinkedIn page. We will respond within a reasonable time and explain any record we must retain.

• Cal.com — the current scheduling and booking link. Booking details are handled under Cal.com’s own terms and privacy practices.
• Stripe — payment processing through Cal.com. We do not receive your card number.
• Cloudflare D1 (serverless SQLite) — conditional, not currently represented as active. If the enhanced AI•DOOM Assessment flow is enabled, Cloudflare D1 may hold short-lived assessment sessions, completed score and dimension records, benchmark snapshots, and requested readout records as described above.
• Resend — conditional, not currently represented as active. If readout delivery is enabled, Resend may process the address and message needed to send the readout after your explicit request.
• OpenClaw — not an active processor for this site. Any future use would require a separate decision and an updated disclosure before personal data is sent.
• Analytics — no analytics provider or advertising tracker is currently enabled. We do not claim anonymous analytics collection or retention as a current practice.

Where a conditional service is enabled, we will share only the minimum necessary for that function and update this page if the actual flow or providers change. Each provider’s own privacy terms may also apply to information it receives.

We use reasonable practical safeguards for the information we handle, but no website, browser storage, email delivery, or internet transmission can be promised completely secure. Do not send credentials or sensitive datasets through the site or LinkedIn.

Information shared for an advisory engagement is treated as confidential and used to deliver that engagement, except with your consent or where disclosure is required by law. A mutual non-disclosure agreement is available on request. We do not publish your name, testimonial, or case study without written permission.

• Access — ask what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct — ask us to fix information that is inaccurate or out of date.
• Delete — ask us to remove information, subject to a legal or contractual duty to retain it.
• Opt out — stop optional email at any time, using an unsubscribe link when available or the contact path below.
